The United States-based business process outsourcing firm CustomerContactChannels (C3) is putting up an initial 1,000-seat operation in the country, to address higher demand from both existing and potential clients.

In a statement issued Thursday, the company said the 1,000-seat facility would be located at the Bonifacio E-Services Building within the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

C3 will occupy five floors of the building – enough to house its BPO floor, as well as management and operations offices.

According to C3 president and chief operating officer Rick Ferry, the company's decision to locate to the Philippines was prompted mainly by the Filipinos' affinity to and keen understanding of American culture.

The location of C3's first facility in the country, he added, was also strategically chosen to keep in step with the needs of both employees and management.

"Manila continues to provide an extremely skilled workforce with an affinity for the American culture that helps them serve customers well. This expansion is particularly exciting for us as we move into Bonifacio Global City, a relatively new area of Manila that offers an excellent environment for our employees and management alike,'' he said.

Apart from the Philippines, C3's other international locations include Mumbai, India; San Jose, Costa Rica; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. It also has operations in Ashland, Ohio; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Twin Falls, Idaho, with headquarters located in Plantation, Florida.

The company serves the energy and utilities, financial services, healthcare and insurance, telecommunications and wireless, and travel and hospitality verticals.

Its services include sales, performance optimization, reputation management, and end-to-end customer interaction management.
